ALAG is proud to present an evening of poetry with renowned Wembley poet, Aqueel Danish who will be launching his new book: “Pairaya – e – izhaar” a collection of poems.
Aqueel Danish is an Urdu poet, prose writer, critic, columnist and a Lecturer of Urdu. He has been honoured to receive a Baba-e-Urdu Gold Medal from the University of Karachi and Iqbal Gold Medal from the Government of Pakistan for his literary work.
For three years he was a co-opted member of Brent Education Committee and appropriately will be joined by friends in the Conference Hall at the Civic Centre in Wembley on Friday 17th October 2014 from 6.30 – 9pm. Light refreshments will be served at 6.30pm and all Urdu poetry enthusiasts will be welcome to attend this prestigious event in partnership with Brent Libraries.

The event will begin with an address from ALAG Chairperson: Gulshan Iqbal and signed copies of the book will be on sale at the event for the special price of £5 (cash only)
